Product Description of Silcream:

Silcream contains Silver sulfadiazine, a topical sulphonamide, which binds to microbial cell wall and damages it. This results as a destruction of protein through which bacteria survives. This cream is very much effective against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It has bactericidal property. It means, it acts by killing the bacteria. Silcream is also effective against yeast. This cream is also used to heal the infections which are caused by the fungus, virus and bacteria.

Silcream is used in the treatment of various infections caused by bacteria, yeast and fungi. It also protects the body against the yeast and viruses. Silcream is very much effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Contraindications for Silcream:

Silcream is not indicated in the following conditions:

  • It is not indicated to use in premature infants and new born infants.

Storage of Silcream:

  • Silcream should be stored in a cool and dry place, below 20 degree C temperature.

  • Check expiry date before using Silcream.

Doses:

Dose of Silcream:

Dose of Silcream can vary on the basis of severity of disease and condition of the patient.

You can follow some instructions before using Silcream:

  • Wash both of your hands and apply the cream directly onto the affected areas of the skin using gloves.
  • Rub it gently into the skin and allow to air dry uncovered.
  • Immediately wash your hands after use and put the tube away in a safe place.

In case you missed any dose of Silcream:

Apply the missed dose of Silcream as soon as you remember. Do not double a dose to make up for the missed dose under any circumstances.

Over Dose of Silcream:

Overdose of Silcream will not cause acute problems. But if it accidentally comes in contact with the eyes, flush the eyes with water immediately. If Silcream is accidentally ingested, immediately induce emesis and gastric lavage.

  • Reduce the frequency of Silcream in case of burning sensation or redness of skin.
  • Do not expose yourself to hard weather conditions such as wind, cold and sunlight after the application of Silcream.
