This medication is a topical corticosteroid which works by reducing inflammation in skin. Similar to topical corticosteroids, this medication shows anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictive properties. This drug binds to cytosolic glucocorticoid receptors. This complex migrates to nucleus and binds to genetic elements on DNA. By this the numerous genes gets triggers and internalize. These corticosteroids act by stimulation of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, jointly called lipocortins.
